Chattanooga Christmas

Little one waiting for Christmas Eve

It is so hard to wait!

Maybe chewing on Quail will help

Christmas Eve

A Trip to Asheville

The day after Christmas, we were off
to Asheville, NC to see Biltmore House

Sheila and Brennan invited us for dinner at their beautiful home in its park like setting. There was still snow on the roof from the storm that came through the night before!

It was fun to see our friends again!

Fun Times with the McElhaneys

The Corsair was a big hit.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid it looked neater than it flew.

Biltmore

The initial view of Biltmore is unbelievable.

We enjoyed a very nice white wine while waiting for our table at the Bistro.

The lunch was worth the wait!

We said good bye to the winery.

The Working Farm

The working barn complex was a real delight.
We saw the village smithy in action creating crafts that were available in the gift shop

That evening on the way home from dinner, we saw the entrance to the rolling estate lands lit up for Christmas.

Biltmore Inns

The first night we had a nice modern third-story room with its own balcony.

The next night we stayed in a wonderful Victorian mansion in the Biltmore Suite.

A peek into our suite with its comfortable, big bed.

The parlor was lavishly decorated. . .

and very cozy.

Good Bye for Now

We drove from Asheville to Chattanooga in a terrible rain storm, thankful that we had perfect weather to tour the Biltmore Estate. On the way home, we picked up the minivan that replaced the tired old Mistique.

We had a little more time . . .

with our fast-growing up little Lily. . .

before we said our good byes and headed off to Nashville for the flight home.
